Emma's Yarn 2023 Smalliday Set

Each Emma's Yarn 2023 Smalliday Set includes 25 individually wrapped Smalls (mini-skeins) - perfect for treating yourself or a loved one to a small-a-day for 25 days, a Love + Leche "Sweet Sheep" lotion bar in a seasonal scent, an Emma's Yarn logo sticker (NEW this year!), an Emma's Yarn pin indicating Sock or DK set (also a NEW addition this year!), and an insert with suggested knit and crochet patterns, all packaged in a cotton drawstring project bag!

Choose from Practically Perfect Smalls (80% Superwash Merino / 20% Nylon - 2,025 total yards) or Simply Spectacular DK Smalls (75% Superwash Merino / 25% Nylon - 1,250 total yards).

What is a Smalliday Set?

“Smalliday Sets” are Emma's version of Advent sets. They call them “Smallidays” because the idea is you open one “Small” a day for the first 25 days of December! Each of the 2023 Smalliday Sets include:

• 25 unique, individually packaged and numbered “Smalls” - available in “Practically Perfect Smalls” (sock weight) and “Simply Spectacular Smalls” (DK weight). All 25 colorways were developed specifically for their 2023 set.
• Love + Leche “Sweet Sheep” Lotion Bar in a custom, wintery scent
• “Emma’s Yarn” logo sticker (NEW addition this year)!
• “Emma’s Yarn” pin indicating Sock or DK set (NEW addition this year)!
• Insert with fiber content and suggested patterns for both knit and crochet

… all wrapped up inside an “Emma’s Yarn” logo cotton project bag (ethically sourced from Work + Shelter)

What do the colors look like?

All we can tell you is…. this year’s set is all semi solids with speckles in bold, beautiful brights that you’ve come to expect from Emma. And all 25 colorways were specially developed for this 2023 set. 

Some people like to use a solid color along with their Smalliday Set but aren’t sure what to pick without seeing the set. You can’t go wrong with “Whisper”, “Jackie O”, “Sweet Magnolia” or “After Dark”! Each of these will compliment the 2023 Smalliday set nicely.

What should I do with a Smalliday Set?

There are tons of patterns out there written for 25 mini-skein sets! The set insert will list a few patterns (both knit and crochet) that are available for separate purchase and will make perfect Smalliday projects.

Last year Laura Nelkin designed two patterns for our Smalliday Sets, Da Luxe and Da Light, and Emma's Yarn is collaborating with her again this year for a brand new design! Laura Dobratz, designed Flora Daze for Emma;s 2021 Smalliday Set. This was also really popular last year and we expect it to be for this years’ set as well! For crocheters, Briana K designed the Milkweed Leaf Shawl in the Smalliday Set and it is stunning! Pattern suggestions are included in each Smalliday Set for both knit and crochet!
