Interlocking Crochet Workshop

Instructor: Valerie Henderson

A one-day course introducing the Interlocking Crochet Method, we will teach you the basics of reading the charts and pattern and how to use a bobbin, resulting in a fun Fall themed potholder! We will be using Astrid's Fallen Leaves Potholders pattern to create Leaf Number 2 in class. Once mastered, you can make the other three potholders included in the pattern- excellent for gifting or that perfect Thanksgiving table! This workshop is great for the adventurous beginner to an advanced crocheter wanting to learn this popular technique.

Materials needed:

  • Astrid's Fallen Leaves Potholders pattern by Astrid Schandy (purchase on Ravelry)
  • 3 contrasting colors of Cascade Ultra Pima OR Ultra Pima Fine yarn (2 for the leaf and one for the background)
  • 3.5mm crochet hook
  • 2 Yarn Bobbins
  • 2 Removable stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

This class will be taught in person and masks are now optional. If community transmission rises we may encourage or require masks for the safety of our students and staff. Please stay home if you are feeling sick! Thanks for your support and for helping to keep our community safe.
