Fall Sweater Club - Goldwing by Jennifer Steingass

Fall Sweater Club is a guided KAL—part class, part KAL, all fun! This KAL will take place in person over twelve sessions through December!

Together we will make the Goldwing sweater by Jennifer Steingass. Goldwing is a top down and seamless circular yoke sweater with colorwork sleeves and an applied I-cord cuff. Using just 2 colors, the contrast and main colors switch at the midway point of the yoke for both dark on light and light on dark colorplay. Options for your choice of rolled or ribbed neckline are included in the pattern. This project is suitable for stranded colorwork beginners with rhythmic and easy to knit motifs.

Jennifer and Claire will help you knit a sweater that fits your body, using your gauge, body measurements, and personal sweater preferences.

Please note: This is not an opportunity to learn to knit or make a sweater for the first time. Check out our classes for our Introduction to Knitting and First Sweater classes.

Materials requirement:

• Yarn for the KAL must be purchased from The Craftivist.
• Students receive a 10% discount off all materials bought for the KAL.

**Experienced knitters may choose an alternate Jennifer Steingass pattern of their choice**

YARN

• 850 - 1800 yards of DK or worsted weight yarn for the Goldwing sweater. We are always happy to help you pick out the right yarn for you at the shop!

CIRCULAR NEEDLES

• US 4 - 3.5 mm
• US 5 - 3.75 mm
• US 6 - 4.0 mm

Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS

Removable stitch markers, stitch markers, stitch holder or waste yarn for holding stitches, tapestry needle for weaving in ends. 

FAQs

Are there prerequisites for the KAL?

• Yes! Participants should have knit a sweater before.

What do I get for the registration fee?

• The registration fee covers access to all twelve gatherings, and assistance from Jennifer and Claire at those gatherings.

Class Policies: Payment guarantees your spot in the class. Payment may be made in the store, over the phone, or through our website. Unless noted, supplies are not included in the class fee. Yarn must be purchased at The Craftivist. Students receive a 10% discount on materials purchased for the class. 

Cancellations: If you need to cancel your registration, store credit will be given for cancellations up to 7 days prior to the beginning of a class; no refunds will be given if the cancellation is less than 7 days. Refunds are not given for missed classes.

If we do not fill our class minimum the class will be cancelled and students will be issued a full refund. We will notify students of class cancellations at least 24 hours before the first class.
