Summer Sweater Club:  Anker's Summer Shirt

Summer Sweater Club is a guided KAL—part class, part KAL, all fun! This KAL will take place in person over twelve sessions during the summer!

Together we will make the Anker Summer Shirt by PetiteKnit. Anker’s Summer Shirt is a top down sweater with a simple rib yoke-- classic, beautiful and simple! Anker's Summer Shirt uses DK weight yarn.

There are many Anker patterns available, feel free to choose the option that works best for you!

Choose the Anker Tee if you prefer a fingering weight version

• Choose the Anker Sweater if you would like a ready-for-fall long sleeved version
• Choose Anker/s Cardigan- My Size if you would like a cardigan

Jennifer and Claire will help you knit a sweater that fits your body, using your gauge, body measurements, and personal sweater preferences.

Please note: This is not an opportunity to learn to knit or make a sweater for the first time. Check out our classes for our Introduction to Knitting and First Sweater classes.

Materials requirement:

• Yarn for the KAL must be purchased from The Craftivist.
• Students receive a 10% discount off all materials bought for the KAL.

PATTERN

Anker Summer Shirt (or Anker pattern of your choice!)

YARN

• 600 - 1200 yards of DK weight yarn for the Anker Summer Shirt. Regardless of which Anker pattern you choose, we are happy to help you pick out the right yarn for you at the shop!

CIRCULAR NEEDLES

• US Size 4 needles (24” or longer circular)
• US Size 6 needles (24” or longer circular)

Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS

Removable stitch markers, stitch markers, stitch holder or waste yarn for holding stitches, tapestry needle for weaving in ends. 

FAQs

Are there prerequisites for the KAL?

• Yes! Participants should have knit a sweater before.

What do I get for the registration fee?

• The registration fee covers access to all twelve gatherings, and assistance from Jennifer and Claire at those gatherings.

Class Policies: Payment guarantees your spot in the class. Payment may be made in the store, over the phone, or through our website. Unless noted, supplies are not included in the class fee. Yarn must be purchased at The Craftivist. Students receive a 10% discount on materials purchased for the class. 

Cancellations: If you need to cancel your registration, store credit will be given for cancellations up to 7 days prior to the beginning of a class; no refunds will be given if the cancellation is less than 7 days. Refunds are not given for missed classes.

If we do not fill our class minimum the class will be cancelled and students will be issued a full refund. We will notify students of class cancellations at least 24 hours before the first class.
