Join Nell Ziroli of NellKnits to create the Boomerangle Shawl. In two hours you will learn to create a tab cast on and alternate skeins within a project you can make again and again. There will also be a discussion of shaping formulas, corresponding styles of symmetrical increase, and combining colors. Students will be able to complete a portion of this wrap in class and be able to finish on their own.
Supplies needed:Ā 2 skeins (420 - 500 yards) of worsted weight yarn in complimentary or contrasting colors, circular needles to obtain gauge.Ā Pattern provided.Ā All materials are available for purchase at The Craftivist.
Gauge is 7 stitches and 12 rows = 2 inches in stockinette stitch. Swatch ahead of time, please.Ā Ā Achieving gauge is less important than making a fabric that feels supple but not too open, however a firmer fabric will require more yardage.
